RFID Networking in Montreal :
above all expectations
Montreal, Quebec (September 14, 2007) – RFID Tribe, a global organization working in RFID technology (Radio Frequency Identification) recently launched its first Canadian chapter in Montreal.
Academia RFID ( www.AcademiaRFID.ca) hosted the first Canadian RFID meeting in their own laboratory. The Montreal chapter is the largest group of people working with RFID or simply interested in that technology in Canada, and the second most important in the whole world.
Jean-Francois Thériault, Principal Director of Logistics and Transportation at the Société des Alcools du Québec (SAQ), presented the results from a multi-year study and Proof of Concept that was performed on the impact of RFID on its operational processes. He also shared his vision of the technology and where RFID benefits could eventually be found.

There was also a networking session to share ideas, interests and dreams about RFID within the participants. This was a great opportunity to meet other people working with or evaluating RFID technology.
